About The Artist
Femi is a Brooklyn-based mixed media artist. Her work is rooted in Black spirituality and ancestral presence, exploring how spirit walks with us wherever we go. She works exclusively from a place of intuition, and as a result, she creates paintings selectively, letting each piece emerge on its own. She uses bright colors and deliberately naif visual language, allowing story to take precedence over polish. Her work is guided by memory and lineage, and the unseen presence that moves alongside Black folk in everyday life.
